Forteviot Coach House is an idyllic Scottish country cottage for a family holiday, or for a group of friends looking for high quality self-catering in Perthshire.
It is attached to the owners' house but totally private. The sitting room is lovely, with a log fire (great to relax in front of) and French doors leading out to the pretty garden, with table and chairs so you can eat outside when the weather is warm. The kitchen is new and very well equipped, there is a separate dining room, with seating for six people at the table, and there is a downstairs WC.
On the first floor are the double and twin bedrooms, which have lovely views over the Perthshire countryside. The modern bathroom has a shower over the bath.
From Glasgow/Stirling take M9/A9 towards Perth until you see the sign for Forteviot (about 5 miles before Perth). Be careful here as you need to slow down in the fast lane to turn right across the dual carriageway - waiting in the central reservation if necessary. Continue down the steep hill until you reach a junction and turn right, crossing the stonebridge towards Forteviot. The Coach House is about half a mile along this road on the right hand side with a huge Monkey Puzzle Tree in the garden, just before you reach Forteviot village.
From Edinburgh take the M90 to Perth (via the Forth Road Bridge) and take exit 9 marked Bridge of Earn. Continue the centre of Bridge of Earn and here take a left turn onto the B935 signposted Forgandenny, Forteviot and Dunning. Continue on this road for approximately 5 miles passing through Forteviot until you reach a junction signposted Dunning or Perth. Take the Perth direction crossing over the level crossing and The Coach House is on the left hand side, with the big Monkey Puzzle Tree in the garden.
All linen, towels and electricity are included.
