Great Easter We had a wonderful time at the Lodge House. It is very comfortable and has everything you might need. The gardens are beautiful lots of birds including an owl and we could see bats in the evening as well as deer. We were a mixed age party and everyone had a great time. There are lots of places round about to visit. Thank you!
Wonderful experience! Westlodge is the perfect get away in the Highlands. Our entire family met there for our annual reunion and we could not have been more pleased. The house is gorgeous and so is the area. You will not be missing anything since Westlodge is so well equipped. The location is perfect for day trips and there are endless places to visit and explore. The contact with Roland was great. I hope we will be able to come back one day and I would highly recommend staying at Westlodge! We made memories there that will last us a lifetime.
Beautiful house Beautiful house, very well maintained inside and out. Equipped with everything we could possibly have needed. Would recommend.
Lovey house in very quiet location. Very close to main city Inverness and Lochness area. The coop shop in Evanton will get you going the first days. Visited the westcoast Appelcross and Ullapool, lovely small towns where you can get a nice pub lunch next to open fire place. Recommended: Dornoch, Tain, Strapheffer, Ullapool, etc
Great house for a great location This is a beautiful house after spending a week there in the summer holiday with my family. Location is great too for visiting some parts of the north coast Scotland. Owner is very understanding and supportive of our needs. Would highly recommend!
A highland haven If there were a way of describing West Lodge Cottage in one word it would simply be "home". From the moment we arrived and walked into the warm (and large I might add) kitchen, the house became our home away from home. Our family of ten from the west coast of Canada, eight adults and two young children, explored the north of Scotland every day, from St. Andrews to John O’Groats, Oban to Stonehaven. We ate lunch in Plockton and visited the brochs in Glenelg, saw the Glenfinnan Viaduct, visited the Faerie Pools of Skye but every evening returned to the tranquility of West Lodge. Some golfed, some skateboarded, some walked. We visited ancient castles and met old friends. Gathering every evening at dinner or in the sun-room to recount our adventures.
The cottage was everything we could have asked for and more. I would recommend West Lodge Cottage highly whether as a place to simply get away or as a base for exploring the Highlands. Everyone of us loved it and dream of returning some day. Thanks Roland and family for sharing it with us. Two weeks was too short.
