Pleasant Hill is a larger scale property, mostly hosting groups of 15+ guests. Nightly rental rates are predominantly in the range of £1200 (excepting High Season periods or national holidays). This comprises a base rental figure supplemented with a guest charge of £25/person/night plus a cleaning fee of £125.

By way of example, a typical 2-night weekend booking for, say, 14 guests in April would typically cost around £2750, comprising:
1965 - villa rental (incl 1 guest)
650 - added guest charge (13 guests @ 25/p/n)
135 - cleaning fee
2750 - total.

Minimum stay is 2 nights (longer during High Season periods).
Extended stay bookings (during Low Season) attract discounts.

[Chloe] "We’ve just returned from a fantastic weekend at Pleasant Hill and I couldn’t recommend a visit enough. From booking right through to departure, our host Chris was brilliant and so helpful. My first big shout out goes to the brownies Chris had left for us in the kitchen. These definitely helped a few hangovers on the Saturday morning. 15 of us descended on Friday evening to kick off a hen weekend. Chris was there to help us with our bags and to make sure we got settled in okay. We had ordered a food delivery that we expected to arrive later in the evening but it ended up being there before us. Chris very kindly put everything away for us, which was a massive help and meant we could start relaxing right away. The house itself is so lovely and perfect for a big gathering. All of the bedrooms were a great size and the three bathrooms meant there was never any queues for showers etc. (Impressive when we had 15 women trying to get ready for a day ‘hitting the town’). The main living area was a great size for gathering, eating, and, most importantly, dancing. The kitchen was well stocked with lovely crockery and glasses etc and everyone mentioned how comfy the beds were! The hot tub was a big selling point when we were initially booking and it did not disappoint. The view was beautiful! It was so roomy and comfortably allowed 7 of us to enjoy at the one time. The location of the tub also meant that we could still chat to members of our party who were inside. Location wise, we were only 20 minutes in a taxi to the West End of Glasgow - so great if you have any events planned throughout your stay. We had an amazing weekend here and you will too! We can’t wait to have another reason to go back."

[Amy] "We stayed at Pleasant Hill with a large group of friends plus children for my partner’s birthday. The property was perfect for what we were looking for. The location is amazing, just a couple of minutes’ walk into the centre of Milngavie, which is a lovely wee town. Plenty of shops for anything you might need and some great finds like Gavin’s Mill for organic food and gifts. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of lovely walks in the nearby Mugdock Country Park. The descriptions and pictures of the house are a true reflection of the property. The space was great for a party of 20 and the kids absolutely loved the big garden. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep and the large living/dining area was perfect for a big group eating and socialising together. We also made use of the hot tub on offer. This felt like absolute luxury in the evening, sitting perched on top of the hill, and everyone enjoyed a dip or two across the weekend. The hosts ensured we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, particularly accommodating the three small babies in our party. They provided detailed information beforehand, answered any questions we had both effectively and efficiently, and were on hand throughout the trip for anything we needed. The brownies on arrival were the icing on the cake! I would without a doubt recommend this house for a large group celebration, even those with young families like ours."

[Dionne] "Very Last-minute booking (due to cancellation of somewhere else with less than 24 hours’ notice) for my 30th birthday with 16 friends. Chris was extremely helpful from the get-go with very informative and prompt replies. Anything that we needed, he was there and always went that extra mile. Was in a lovely location with huge well matured garden, 2-3 mins walk from Milngavie town. The house was absolutely spotlessly clean, so well equipped, very comfy and so cosy. Towels supplied for use with the hot tub and also a plentiful supply of towels for indoors. We even had homemade brownies on arrival which were delicious. The beds were SO comfy and rooms were spacious. The open plan living space is the hub of the house with plenty of space for eating and entertainment. There was only one problem and that was the stay wasn’t long enough, everyone in the party would love to return together or with their own families. We had an absolute ball and the hot tub was brilliant. I would recommend anyone looking for accommodation for a large gathering to check this house out as you won’t be disappointed!! We loved it!!!! [Mrs C] "What a fabulous home away from home Pleasant Hill is. 19 of us in total spent 2 nights for my best friend’s Hen do, and it was wonderful. The living area is huge (photos don’t do it justice) and the bedrooms were spacious. Chris was the most amazing host. To say he went above and beyond for us is an understatement. Our Tesco order was cancelled just before our arrival and Chris offered to go to Tesco and get our essentials. He really did go way above and beyond for us. The house is in a fantastic location. 2-minute walk from the village which is lovely and only a couple of minutes from the train station which will take you to Glasgow. The house has all the amenities you need for cooking for large numbers - e.g double oven, pans, trays etc. The hot tub and garden area is fabulous. Wonderful views when sitting in the hot tub and lots of outdoor space. The most amazing 2 days and can’t thank Chris enough for his brilliant hospitality. We will definitely be bad and can’t recommend this fantastic holiday home enough."

During the pre-arrival planning, Chris was most helpful by responding very promptly, courteously, and comprehensively to our many queries concerning logistical and travel arrangements for our group.
The property is very accommodating, well-heated, and very well-supplied with kitchen utensils and bathroom necessities. Our hosts greeted us very warmly and made us feel welcomed; they helped us with our initial grocery shopping and gifted us with brownies and local beers and wine. They offered linen/bed changes and even the reconfiguration of one room to include an office space. Chris even transported some of us to the airport in the wee hours of the morning. [Alison] "We rented Pleasant Hill in Milngavie for Christmas. Due to Covid 19 restrictions we arrived in Scotland early so we could quarantine. Pleasant Hill was perfect. It was very spacious inside and with a large garden. We had three people working online with no issues at all. When we arrived Chris and Francis provided lunch food for us as our groceries were not being delivered until later in the day. They also decorated the house for Christmas, included a real Christmas tree and baked us lovely mince pies and brownies. During our stay, Chris was available to answer any questions and to help with anything we needed. We loved the location of the house as it is close to local shops, the city of Glasgow and to the Campsies. We definitely recommend booking this property. We plan on staying here again!"
