Kirkmichael is a delightful Perthshire village. Much accommodation close by offers peaceful and relaxing accommodation in contemoporary and traditional Scottish homes, many with original features and added extras. open fires and fishing on the River Ardle (tackle and a fly fishing lessons available) and bike riding are popular int his area. The surrounding area boasts many opportunities for walking, fishing, cycling, golf and enjoying the rich natural environment. There are many walking and cycling paths including the Cateran trail around Kirkmichael. Why not take a walk through Black Spout Wood, in Pitlochry - an oak wood alive with red squirrels and roe deer - along the way you'll pass a cascading waterfall, a ruined castle and call into Scotland's smallest distillery at Edradour for a wee 'dram' (just 15 minutes drive from the cottage - make sure and try some of the whisky flavoured fudge!).
Kirkmichael is in the heart of golfing country with world famous Gleneagles approx 1 hour's drive away, St Andrews 2 hours, and Rosemount close by. There are also many hidden gems such as Pitlochry, Kirriemuir, Dunkeld and Alyth golf courses all within a short drive.
You might like to eat out in the local village hotel or get your groceries in the traditional award-winning village shop - which is also our post office and cafe. Soothe away those aching muscles in the big traditional roll top bath back at this lovely Perthshire self-catering cottage at the end of the day!

Accommodation - what's generally included:

Saturday changeover is the most usual but many cottages will be flexible especially on Friday and Sunday, check out generally 10am check in 4pm. Short breaks often welcome - sometimes a minimum 4 nights charge. 20% discount for 2nd week when 2 weeks booked can be negociated.
