Brachkashie (New), Whitebridge, Nr Loch Ness, Inverness-shire, Scotland
A great attraction of this property is that the grounds of approximately 2 and a half acres stretch right to the edge of the picturesque Loch Knockie. Loch Knockie is one and a half miles long with several islands to explore. The cottage benefits from its own private jetty and has direct access to the loch with wild brown trout fishing: the rental of the property includes a rowing boat and trout fishing during the season.
Stalking red deer during the main stalking season can be arranged on several nearby estates and hind stalking in November, December and January can also be arranged. Salmon fishing is available nearby on the River Findhorn, River Oich and River Ness. The golf course at Fort Augustus is just 8 miles away and has an 18 hole course which runs alongside the Caledonian Canal. The new and wonderful Championship link course of Castle Stuart is only an hour's drive from Brachkashie.
The charming village of Fort Augustus is just 8 miles away and is a great place to visit. The main attraction is watching the boats come through the locks on the Caledonian Canal before entering Loch Ness. There are wonderful walks nearby and Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland, is only 45 minutes' drive away at Fort William, along with a number of other accessible Munros. Another trip well worth taking is the drive along the Great Glen passing by Loch Oich and Loch Lochy to Loch Linnie to where it meets the sea on the West Coast.
This stunning interior-designed holiday cottage is perfectly placed to explore Loch Ness and the highlands of Scotland.
