Reviews:
The long trip from the south to the Birdhouse in Applecross was definitely worth it! What a find in the Highlands of Scotland. The attention to detail and creativity shines through in the Birdhouse interiors. Pitched high up at the back of the garden, it feels very private. Watching the ever-changing weather over the Cuillins of Skye from the Birdhouse was bliss. The birdlife in the garden will keep you amused …. and if you’re very lucky you’ll see the local pine martin! Five stars all round!

A week at the Birdhouse isn’t long enough. So relaxing, luxurious, cosy and equipped with everything we needed. Our spaniel felt very at home here and we were blessed with west coast blue skies for our week of exploring and beach walks. We saw a sea eagle and an otter and caught a glimpse of the Culduie pine martin! There is so much to see and do within the immediate area but the Birdhouse is also in the perfect location for exploring Skye and Torridon on day trips. A special place, a special find!

The Birdhouse at Applecross was our cosy, quirky, stylish and brilliantly appointed retreat for an amazing and restorative week-long October stay in this stunningly beautiful part of Scotland. We walked the 7-mile loop trail from Applecross to Sands Beach, taking in the majestic views across the Inner Sound towards the Isle of Raasay and the Cuillins on Skye. We walked down from the Birdhouse to Coral Beach; a beautiful and ancient pathway leading to a tranquil and unspoilt beach. And we dined on amazing langoustines in the Applecross Inn.

What a restorative week we had at the Beautiful Birdhouse in Applecross. Calming, creative interiors that are thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for our perfect break. The surrounding area had so many beautiful walks straight from the doorstep and fabulous cycle routes – we did the full circle around the coast road and back up over the Bealach hill on our bikes! Then we finished off our evening with dinner and a pint of local Applecross Ale at the Applecross Inn. Very much looking forward to our return Birdhouse trip.
