Wysebyside is a detached villa sitting in its own grounds which include a private walled garden. The property accommodates up to 12 people in 5 bedrooms (+ 2 on sofa bed) which all have different configurations. It is well linked to the M74 and M8 linking Scotland with England. From here you can explore the Scottish Borders, Northumberland, the Lakes and the Solway coast in Dumfriesshire. The nearest railway stations are Carlisle and Lockerbie.

Wysebyside is a rural retreat ideal for families and friends to get together in a beautiful location. It is ideal for hosting wedding parties and or a small wedding given its proximity to Gretna (6 miles). The house is large with good sized rooms. Modern appliances and equipment in the kitchen make it a great place to prepare food. The private walled garden offers discerning guests a private space for a glass of wine or another tipple in the summer nights. There is an outdoor bbq.

Sometimes there are sheep and deer wandering freely around the garden. The villages of Annan, Lockerbie and Gretna are close by. Gretna being well known for its Gateway Outlet Centre and weddings. Dumfries, home of Robbie Burns is Ideally located for exploring the Solway coast, historic Roman settlements in Northumberland.

Dumfries is the largest town in South West Scotland. Robbie Burns who wrote Auld Lang Syne once lived there and there is a museum. Carlisle is a 30 minute drive, with many historic attractions including a castle.

Moat Brae the National Centre for Children's Literature and Storytelling and the inspiration for J M Barrie's Peter Pan is 22 miles. Sweetheart Abbey is 28 miles. Drumlanrig Castle is 40 miles away, the magnificent Pink Palace and its world class art collection are well worth a visit. Time your visit to watch some carriage driving the fast and exciting sport in which competitors drive horse drawn open carriages. Main west coast train line stations, Carlisle and Lockerbie. Smaller, closer stations are Annan and Gretna.

Wysebyside really is a spacious, wonderfully positioned large house with tremendous outdoor space. Magical experience for children in the garden. Close enough to get taxi to wedding in Gretna. Excellent for anyone wanting to experience the Scottish countryside or get together in a large group.

The house is large with good sized elegant rooms and peaceful rural setting with private walled garden. Modern appliances and equipment in the kitchen make it a great place to prepare food, The Aga adds the country feel, but there is also an electric oven and microwave making self-catering as easy as possible! The dining room seats 14 guests at a large dining table. The sitting room is comfortably furnished with sofas and arm chairs, big bay windows, TV and cosy and open fire.

The master bedroom has a four poster bed. one family room sleeps 4, another sleeps 3, while the others offer a king size bed, a single bedroom and a twin bedroom. TThe master bedroom has a four poster bed, with traditional furnishing and double aspect windows over the gardens and beyond. Upstairs there is a shared bathroom with bath. Downstairs there is a shower room and a separate WC.

The private walled garden offers discerning guests a private space for a glass of wine or another tipple in the summer nights. There is an outdoor bbq.

There is use of a set of binoculars and plenty of reading material and board games.

Located just off the M74 Kirtlebridge is about 16 miles north of Carlisle and 10 miles south of Lockerbie. Gretna is 6 miles away and Dumfries is 20 miles.

The nearest airport is Newcastle.
