March 2024 Such a lovely place to stay! The cabin has everything you could need, and the log burner is a lovely touch. The steps down to the faerie garden are a lovely peaceful place to meditate, while the main garden is fully fenced and kept our two adventurous (and escape prone) dogs safe. The only problem we had was forcing ourselves to get out of bed, as it’s comfy enough to spend the whole day in! All mod cons are provided, and Alice is a friendly and welcoming host. The local area has enough beautiful walks that you could probably do a new one every day for years without repeating! We can’t wait to come stay again! March 2024 We’ve been coming to Alice and Paul’s cottage, Stables Cottage for years, and have always had wonderful stays, so when we saw that they had a new cabin we couldn’t wait to try it out. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time. Our days were spent starting with a coffee and watching the sun rise through what feels like your own private wood, before exploring the vast forests of Dumfries and Galloway, visiting family and also the nearby Buddhist monastery. Our nights were spent enjoying the peace and quiet in front of the log burner. 10/10, we’ll be coming again next time we’re in Scotland! Fernanda Diaz, Barcelona
