Very comfortable beds quality furniture, well equipped kitchen, missed the sunshade in the garden, loved the lawn mower now named Huey, very peaceful location with lovely walks through the glorious trees no need to go anywhere else as there is plenty to do in the walled garden but do recommend But n Ben in Auchmithie and if you are really wanting to splash out Gordons in Inverkeillor. thanks for a lovely stay we will be back next year.
*NB There are large trees providing shade on teh garden.

We have spent our holidays in this haven of peace several times and it is always so fabulous! The welcome is warm with small welcome gifts, the wall garden is wonderful and you can do lots of activities. The walks through the castle park and its forest are incredible! For us, it’s a paradise! This lovely cottage is in a great setting where very peaceful surroundings and many two legged friends and deers.I enjoyed walking around the trails and visiting pretty walled garden. Cottage itself got everything what we needed and cozy and comfortable enough. I wish visiting again with my family in the future.

Spent a week at The Stables over half term and we loved it. The cottage was warm, amazingly well equipped and probably the best self catering property we’ve stayed in. The bedrooms were huge and the large window in the sitting room was great for admiring the pheasants ( of which there are many…). The Walled Garden was lovely although it took us some time to find it as the signage wasn’t overly obvious. Although I believe there were other people staying on the Estate, we didn’t hear or see a soul, despite the fact that the Stables has an interconnecting door with the larger Coach House if you book both. The location was great for everything we wanted to do and the Angus countryside has a charm all of its own. It may not be as dramatic as the Highlands or the West Coast but we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We would love to come back for a return trip.

Our first visit to Angus and as we wanted somewhere convenient for Dundee and the coast Kinblethmont was ideal. The stables is a lovely, well equipped cottage and the surroundings couldn’t be better. The estate is a great place for walks and very peaceful. We received a lovely welcome basket of goodies and everything was first class. Lots to see round about. The House of Dun very interesting and Donnotar Castle spectacular. Would love to return one day.

Loved our short stay here. So much so that we have booked this location again for next February. It was so tranquil, a real retreat with beautiful walled garden and walks to keep my 5 Yr old grandaughter enchanted and entertained. Very comfortable and clean accommodation.

Booked the stables for my wife and twins birthdays week before Xmas :) loved it, this is my 3rd time at this estate and I can’t fault it. First time in the stables and it was lovely and spotless, open fire big massive windows to Let the little one watch the birds. Love how you never need to bring tea/coffee/shampoo/etc it’s all there for you. Kinblethmont estate won’t disappoint you they go above and beyond.

A very happy holiday

We had a really happy week in The Stables. It’s a delightful cottage, very comfortable, extremely well-equipped and in a beautiful peaceful setting. The location is also excellent. We enjoyed being near the coast for beach days and a cliff top walk, and also explored a bit further inland. When we didn’t feel like driving it was lovely to be able to wander around the estate grounds. Everything about it suited us perfectly! Booking was straightforward and communication with the owner was very good. If we were looking for accommodation in Angus another year one of the Kinblethmont properties would definitely be our first choice. It was clear from the comments in the visitor’s book that others felt the same as several had returned again and again.

Jewel in the Crown

We stayed at The Stables, Kinblethmont for 1 week with our daughter. On arrival the place was immaculate with adequate equipment. We even had a little welcoming basket and milk in the fridge. Very much appreciated! The grounds and setting are well kept and beautiful, especially the walled gardens where we went everyday to play badminton, table tennis and rounders. It was lovely to see the different wildlife in our garden, especially the 2 baby fawns and the red squirrel. We would definitely recommend this place if you want to chill and get away from busy life. We will certainly be back after finding our wee jewel in the crown. Absolutely perfect holiday!

stayed here on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. the stables is in a beautiful location with good outdoor space and high spec facilities inside. Has everything you will need and very clean, spacious and comfortable.Arbroath, Lundan Bay and whole Angus costal route a short drive away and the walled garden in the grounds of the estate are lovely for an evening walk or as a play area for children. highly recommended.

Perfect

I was visiting family in the arbroath area and the Stables Cottage was perfect. The country location was perfect for me as it’s only a short drive into Arbroath. The cottage itself is very comfortable and immaculately clean. I found everything I needed and that’s quite unusual as I like to cook. The grounds of Kinblethmont house are magical and there are many paths and trails to ride a bike or walk. The Owners are really nice people and available should you need anything. I will definitely book this place again.
