Elie is one of Scotland's best kept secrets. It's a haven of seaside magic. You have two miles of golden sandy beach, the village is rife with water sports, lovely places to eat out, gift shops, a fabulous bakers and restaurants, and pubs as well. It is well served with a pharmacy, delicatessen, two grocery shops and a post office.

Everything is a walk away, so once you park your car, you don't have to drive again for the duration of your stay ... it's all on your door step. Horse riding, water sports, golf, cycling, relaxing. Elie is part of the East Neuk which has a microclimate - Fifeness (in Crail 6 miles down the coast) is the driest place in Scotland ... so if you'd like a Scottish holiday and you would like some decent weather, then renting a self-catering cottage in Elie is a pretty good bet!

School Wynd has been recently refurbished and this testimonial from its first renter says it all. "Had to write to tell you how much we all loved "School Wynd". It was a difficult place to leave behind. I would love to have many visits to this cottage - Christmas time would be lovely. My daughter and son-in-law who have a cottage in the Cotswolds would be impressed. I hope everyone who spends time there takes care of it, as it is in a perfect location and has been refurbished to the highest standards. You have great taste. Once again thank you".
