Located in the heart of Scotland, Perthshire offers everything for a perfect cultural or activity holiday. The region is a joy to explore, with its central location and stunning countryside. In the south are green lowlands, in the north the spectacular Highlands. Loch Tay in the west is picture perfect, surrounded by the mountains of Kenmore to the east, Ben Lawers standing guard on the north shore and remote magical Glen Lyon. Throughout the region you will find huge ancient castles, medieval villages and cathedrals, historic woodlands, beautiful lochs as well as tourist and sporting attractions. The sleepy rural villages are tranquil and calm and set in stunning scenery.

Auchterarder lies 2 miles from the famous Gleneagles golf course, and Perthshire has 40 more courses to offer as well! There are large and small whisky distilleries a few miles away. Culturally, Perth offers the famous Scone Palace, home to Kings of Scotland, and it is not far to the atmospheric old town of Stirling with its imperious stone castle. A visit to Fife rewards you with St Andrews, famous for its golf course and ancient university.
