Glenbeag is a lovely, bright family holiday cottage in the west highland coastal village of Glenelg, overlooking the Sound of Sleat to the Isle of Skye. This self catering cottage is an ideal location for wildlife, beach, water or walking holidays - as relaxed or active as you wish to be. The cottage is near the Glenelg Inn and a minute's walk from the village shop and the seashore.

This part of Scotland is a magical area that includes the site of Gavin Maxwell's 'Camusfearna' at Sandaig with its gorgeous white coral beaches. Glenbeag has some of the best preserved Iron Age brochs in Scotland. Close by are formidable Munros including Beinn Sgritheall and the Five Sisters of Kintail. And you may still 'sail over the sea to Skye' on the traditional Glenelg ferry crossing at Kylerhea.

Glenelg is 20 miles south of Kyle of Lochalsh. Nearby are Eilean Donan Castle, Plockton, Loch Duich and Knoydart. The village is approached by the spectacular Mam Ratagan pass from Shiel Bridge. A variety of sand or shingle beaches are from 1 to 20 minutes walk; protected bays and exposed rocky peninsulas abound. Wonderful wildlife includes the chance of seeing otters, deer, eagles or a whale. Views of Skye are ever present and ever changing. Sunrises and sunsets are often amazingly colourful with the big skies and sea reflections.
