’Goldstar Award’ from the Green Tourism Business Scheme as the highest achieving self catering business in Britain in 2012 and 2014
We have been re-assessed and awarded Gold again in the GTBS 2017.
We use no oil on the Croft and burn locally sourced wood for heating and hot water both in the self-catering and our own home. We have a wind turbine to supplement electricity as well as solar tubes which pre-heat the water in our heating system.
’The only thing we lacked was someone to wipe the steam from our glasses whilst in the hot tub. Everything far exceeded our expectations’ - Jill, Chris, Carole and Gavin.
’Our first time here and we can see why everyone returns’ - Vimty and Keith.
’Fantastic House, Fantastic Food, Fantastic Hot Tub’ - Mary, Jamie, Bethan and Keir.
’Could go on for hours singing the praises of this wonderful house, its produce and its people but we must hit the road’ - the Dimmicks, USA.
’I could repeat everybody else’s praise - this place is lovely’ - the Wood family.
’Always to be remembered - very comfy beds, salad leaves and early morning walks’ - Jenny.
Once upon a time in the summer of two thousand and nine
Three big girls and four little girls spent a week in
Ardnamurchan......... Where they
Laughed a lot - Paddled in the sea
Picked Ripe Strawberries – Braved the midges
Climbed over Rocks – Went up a lighthouse
Played rounders on the beach
Swam in a river – Bubbled in a jacuzzi
Felt the sun on their faces – Walked country lanes
Fed two pigs – Ate lovely picnics
And had an altogether wonderful time.
