Hidden away in the rural hamlet of Duncrievie in the heart of central Scotland, Beech Cottage sits privately within its own ground. The large fully enclosed garden with sweeping lawn, drying green and the large decked area to the left of the house looks over the field to woodland, a perfect area for relaxing with a glass of wine while dinner cooks on the BBQ. A narrow lane leads from the garden down to a stream and wooded area, ideal for inquisitive children and dogs to explore. There is ample parking for four cars in the driveway and a large garage for keeping bicycles, golf clubs or even a boat.

A pleasant one mile walk takes you to the village of Glenfarg where you will find the pub/restaurant, shop and post office. There is also a large public park, tennis courts, bowling green, horse riding stables and off road driving centre. With its many forests and extensive woodlands this beautiful area offers some of the finest rambling, cycling and walking in central Scotland. A short drive into Kinross (7 miles) is the nearest leisure centre with swimming pool and fitness room. Here a visit to Loch Leven, the internationally famous bird sanctuary and place of great historical interest is a must.

Should you wish to venture a little further afield, the city of Perth is only 12 miles away and offers a bustling town with its own Festival Theatre, farmers' market, boutique shops and a wide range of restaurants. In the opposite direction is Dunfermline (18 miles) Scotland's ancient capital, resting place of Robert the Bruce and home to the world famous philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. Over the Forth Road Bridge and you are in the capital and Festival City of Edinburgh, steeped in history and traditions of Scotland. An easy drive of 27 miles takes you to the seaside university town of St Andrews, famous as the home of golf. If golf is your passion there are numerous local courses in the area � Gleneagles, Kinross, Milnathort, Muckhart, Dollar and Murrays Hall who all welcome visitors. <

Accommodation:
On entering Beech Cottage from the side door you are instantly welcomed by a large open plan kitchen/dining area with generous seating for 8 adults. Step down into the large informal livingroom area where the fireplace is the focal point of the room. A double sided wood burning stove provides warmth and a relaxing atmosphere to both kitchen and living area - you may be reluctant to move far! From the livingroom area you enter the sun room where you can relax and read, play games or sit and doze in the sun. There is one bedroom on the ground floor which has an large ensuite shower, wc and sink. Upstairs is the master room with an ensuite bath, separate shower, wc and sink. There are two further double rooms and a separate wc, sink and shower room.

If travelling north on M90 motorway turn off at Junction 8 sign posted Glenfarg / St Andrews / A91. Take first left onto minor public road to Glenfarg. This road naturally progresses round to the right and then turn first left, back over the motorway. At the end of this road turn right at the T-junction and continue on into Duncrievie.

From Milnathort travel out of the village sign posted for St Andrews /A91 and once leaving the village turn first left signposted Hattonburn Road. Travel for approx. 2.8 miles and you will enter the hamlet of Duncrievie.
When entering Duncrievie passing the first group of modern houses (Lossley Park), turn right at the second group of modern houses. Follow this road around to its right and you will see green gates directly in front of you which then gives access to Beech Cottage.

Kinross 6 miles, Perth 12 miles, Dunfermline 18 miles, Stirling 30 miles, Edinburgh 32 miles.

What's included:
All bed, bathroom and kitchen linen are provided. Duvets and covers, towels and all cleaning materials, bin bags, central heating and electricity are all included in the price. All coal and logs are also included in the price. Guest can make use of all CDs, DVDs, games etc.

Cost and availability.
Beech Cottage is rented out year round. Rental periods are Saturday to Saturday, arrival 3pm and departure at 10am. Weekend/short breaks are considered during off peak times.
