Located in West Wemyss, a charming conservation village on the shores of the Forth, Compass Cottage sits on a sunny hill with outstanding views towards Edinburgh. A traditional Fife coast village with harbour, creels and white-washed cottages, West Wemyss is quaint and tiny but it has its own pub and hotel (serving delicious home-made meals) and is only minutes away from central Scotland's major road networks. Scotland's beautiful capital city, Edinburgh, is less than an hour away and St Andrews, the home of golf, is only 40 minutes.

This area is blessed with some of the driest weather in Scotland and there is plenty to do; first-class attractions such as Deep Sea World and Scotlands Secret Bunker are half an hour away. In bustling Kirkcaldy (just 10 minutes away) youll find first-rate theatres and art galleries, great parks and leisure facilities and plenty of shopping. Theres the famous racing circuit at Knock Hill, with karting, motor-biking and trials bike clubs even closer. Take days out on boat trips to bird-sanctuary islands, fly kites on long sandy beaches (Elie, St Andrews), steep yourself in Scottish history at impressive castles, ancient cathedrals and fascinating fishing museums. Its all here, all year, at Compass Cottage - you can enjoy a self-catering holiday in Fife in this luxurious cottage (with many extra comforts) and explore this fascinating part of Scotland.
