The Bothy is a delightful small holiday cottage with one large bedroom - it is an idyllic location for a honeymoon in Scotland or a romantic weekend break. The rooms are spacious and the cottage has been fully refurbished recently. All the furnishings are of a very high standard and sitting-room has an open fire - perfect for relaxing in front of in the evening (a roaring log fire is very romantic!). There is a private garden where you can sit out and enjoy the surprisingly sunny weather that this part of Scotland enjoys.

This stunning self-catering cottage is situated near Anstruther, in beautiful Fife countryside. You have easy access to Edinburgh (an hour away) with all its historic sights and cultural attractions. Fife itself has a very romantic past and there is so much to explore and see nearby. Many of our honeymoon guests stay close to the holiday cottage - a romantic walk along the beach (only 2 miles away) is very popular - you can find yourselves alone on miles of sand looking out towards the ever-changing sea.

Scotland is a very popular destination for honeymoons - it has such a romantic history with many castles and ruins to explore. This Fife cottage is ideally situated near some top-class restaurants if you want a special evening out - the local taxi service can take you there and back if you want to enjoy a drink. The Peat Inn and The Cellar and only a few miles away - both serve amazing food and are well worth visiting. The cottage owners will provide you with details, so you can book in advance if you want to be sure of a table.

Accommodation: The Bothy's accommodation is all on the ground floor and has a spacious feel. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you will need, and has a dining area. The sitting room has an open fire and the good-sized bedroom has a king-size bed. The ensuite shower-room has a modern suite. The private garden is equipped with furniture so you can enjoy al-fresco meals or just relax outside.

Location:
Near St Andrews and Anstruther, in the East Neuk of Fife. Only 1 hour from Edinburgh.

What's included:
Central heating and hot water, electricity, an initial supply of logs for the open fire and bed linen are included in the rental rate. A limited number of mountain bikes are also available on request, at no charge.

What's not included:
Towels are not included, but are available at a small charge.

Cost and availability.
Rental periods are generally Saturday-Saturday: arrival 4pm and departure at 10am.
We can also provide weekend and short break holidays at most times of the year.
