The Manse is a large self-catering cottage that can sleep up to 10 people in comfort. It is tastefully decorated and well equipped so provides everything you will need for your holiday. The Manse is set in the beautiful grounds of 15th century Carberry Tower and is only 20 minutes from Edinburgh city centre - an idyllic location!

Enjoy walking in the grounds of Carberry, a delight for tree lovers, and explore the history of the local area with its connections to Mary Queen of Scots and Carberry Hill. Travel into Edinburgh for the bustle of shopping on Princes Street, the excitement of the Edinburgh Festival, the largest arts festival in the world, world-class museums and art galleries, fabulous restaurants and cafes, and of course the history and architecture of Edinburgh Castle.

This is also an ideal base to explore the Lothian and Borders area with its beautiful beaches, renowned golf courses, cycling, fishing and walking. Visit the many historical houses and castles of interest around the area - Roslyn Chapel and Tantallon Castle are well worth a visit if you are staying in this gorgeous accommodation.

Accommodation:
The Manse is a tastefully decorated and well equipped holiday house close to Edinburgh, sleeping up to 10 in great comfort. Downstairs, there is a spacious kitchen, a porch and utility area, a large dining area with table and 10 chairs, and a large sitting room with comfortable sofas and an open fire.

Upstairs, there are 5 lovely bedrooms; 2 double and 3 twin. The rooms break-off a long corridor, and share 2 large bathrooms with shower facilities. The house offers a homely yet spacious feel, and look out onto a charming courtyard on one side and large garden on the other. This is a wonderful place to stay near Edinburgh.

Location: Carberry is reached from the west and north by taking the Edinburgh city bypass going on to the A1 Berwick Road, then looking for the slip road left A6094 Wallyford, Dalkeith. From the East pass the Mussellburgh exit and take the slip road A6094 Dalkeith. From the South West, make for Edinburgh and turn right along the City Bypass. From the South East on the A68. go through Pathhead, then after half a mile you will pass the road off to Haddington, take the next road on the right to Musselburgh A6124; at the lights turn right, then left, you will pass Carberry Candles on the right and Carberry Tower is the next on the right.

Cost and availability.
The Manse is rented out all year round. Rental periods are generally Saturday to Saturday, arrival 4 pm and departure by 10am - unless otherwise agreed. Short-breaks by arrangement.
