Dalgarnock Cottage is one of six self catering cottages which have been converted from the original farm buildings of Templand, half a mile from the attractive village of Thornhill. Set around a landscaped courtyard and with beautiful views across the Nithsdale Valley the cottages are an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. The area is perfect for walking, cycling, golfing and fishing and there are many sites of historic interest including the famous Drumlanrig Castle. Alternatively, you can stay at Templand and enjoy the wonderful facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, games room, play area and trampoline.

This variety leads to an abundance of activities: walking, cycling, bird-watching, golf, fishing, exploring historical sites etc. All the main roads from north to south and east to west are quickly accessible from the cottage making it an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful and unspoilt part of Scotland.
