Harris is perhaps the most beautiful of Scotland's islands - it is wild and remote with amazing wildlife. You can hope to see whales, dolphins, otters and eagles and the flora attracts botanists from around the world. Harris beaches are stunning miles of white sands and include the world-famous Scarista Beach - perfect for flying kites, launching a kayak, surfing or just relaxing (it can be sunny!) and you will often have the whole beach to yourself . A round of golf on the golf course can be a challenge and but you are guaranteed stunning scenery! Walking and cycling are popular activities and there is some fantastic fishing to be had on Harris too. Visit the standing stones at Callanish and elsewhere on the island and also the Brochs too. There are still craftsmen weaving Harris Tweed and you can visit them and buy some beautiful tweed to take home as a souvenir of a fabulous holiday on Harris!
