The Cairngorms, with Aviemore serving at the heart of them, offer some of the most dramatic scenery in the highlands. Famed for having arguably Scotland's finest skiing, Aviemore is certainly the ideal place for those seeking adventure. The area has kept its wild, exposed nature yet still manages to offer great access for those wishing to visit. It is well known as a centre for outdoor pursuits and there a huge number of activities to choose from. Seek your thrills up in the mountains, down in the valley, on the golf course or maybe on your bike; there is something for everyone. All levels of experience are catered for from the beginner to the expert so there are great opportunities to either try something new or hone your existing skills.

The area is great for cyclists with both the National Cycle Network and also 64km of off road routes from easy woodland trails to challenging downhill tracks. Aviemore offers visitors ample space which means that relaxing could not be easier - whether it be taking in the some of the beautiful scenery or enjoying some fishing on the Spey, riding or golf - the area offers each individual visitor the opportunity to seek their own enjoyment. For those wishing to explore and be entertained there are many visitor attractions in the area and they cater for all ages and all weathers; a ride on a steam train, a visit to a wildlife park or RSPB reserve, museums, historic properties, whisky distilleries, and many more.

Accommodation:
Strathmore House is a spacious, detached property all on one level. The main hallway leads to a large living room with comfortable furniture and satellite TV. There are two twin bedded rooms, a main bathroom and a double bedroom with luxury ensuite shower room. The fourth bedroom is a large family room with double bed, sofa bed and ensuite bathroom with spa bath. There is a light and airy dining room adjoining the kitchen which has been recently refurbished. Also, a separate utility room and WC.

Strathmore House boasts a large enclosed garden and a car port for undercover off road parking. There is a lockable garden shed to store bicycles and sports equipment.

Location:
Aviemore is accessed via the main arterial route the A9. Strathmore House is situated at the north end of Aviemore. If arriving from the south, continue along the main road through Aviemore as if heading north and take a right hand turn onto Dalfaber Drive. Go over the railway line and take a left hand turn onto Spey Avenue, Strathmore House is located at the corner of Craiggowrie Place which is the second road on the left. If arriving from the north, take a left turn off the A9 to Aviemore and turn right at the next junction then take a left hand turn onto Dalfaber Drive. Follow directions then as above.

What's included:
Heating is included and all bed linen and towels are provided.
The house is well equipped for children with child-safe beakers, plates, bowls and cutlery. There is a step up stool for sinks/WCs and a toy box.

Cost and availability:
Change over day for weekly lets is Saturday with check in time after 4pm and check out by 10am. Mid week breaks run from 4pm on Monday to 10am on Friday.
There are special rates for late availability bookings.
