Laggan Cottage is known as a 'front' cottage meaning it forms part of a larger building which incorporates The Auld Poor House self-catering and the owners' flat. It has independent and private access and comfortably accommodates up to six people. On the ground floor is a livingroom with open fire, with an additional alcove bed for disabled guests who are unable to use the stairs to access the first floor bedrooms. The kitchen/diner is extremely well equipped and includes a dishwasher, fridge and microwave in addition to conventional oven. Beyond the ground floor bathroom which is equipped with grab rails and shower seat for disabled guests (shower, toilet and washbasin) is a laundry room which is shared with guests of The Auld Poor House. The laundry room has drying facilities, washing machines and tumble drier.

On the first floor are two bedrooms, one with a double and a single bed; the other with three single beds. Evidence of the cottage's history as a Poor House can be seen in the antique fireplace/ovens in each bedroom (now blocked up and for decoration only!). To the front of the cottage is a well kept garden and uninterrupted views over the mountains. To the side of the cottage is a wooded area with 'hidden' enchanted garden with barbeque area and wildlife pond.
