Shoreside is 3 miles from the beautiful conservation area of Kenmore and 9 miles from Aberfeldy. The area offers easy access to golf, fishing, horse riding, water sports, walking, climbing - the list is endless. Shoreside sits on the edge of Loch Tay in the village of Fearnan and has its own private beach and slipway as well as fishing rights on the loch. The scenery in this stunning area is simply breathtaking. From the balcony of the Quaich enjoy exceptional, uninterrupted views of Loch Tay and the surrounding countryside and hills.

Kenmore village offers a hotel, restaurant and bar, bistro, deli, gift shop, Post Office and general store. There are dozens of walks in the area from gentle riverside strolls to Munro climbing as well as mountain bike trails. Hill walkers are spoilt for choice with many outstanding walks and seven Munros within ten miles, including Ben Lawers and Schiehallion. The Loch Tay Forest Park is also close by and provides a variety of trails, which are perfect for more leisurely walks, mountain biking and horse riding.

Throughout historic Perthshire there is a myriad of attractions including castles, historic homes, distilleries, potteries and galleries to explore. Glen Lyon, Scotland's longest and loveliest glen, is nearby; Fortingall village is only 3 miles away, which houses Britain's oldest tree and a very good restaurant in the Fortingall Hotel. The House of Bruar at Blair Atholl, known as the Harrods of the North, is a perfect day out for keen shoppers - combine a shopping trip with a walk up Bruar Falls! Golfers will be in their element - there are 2 golf courses in Kenmore and another 4 within a 30 minute drive. Edinburgh and Glasgow are only 1.5 to 2 hour's away and can be reached from both the west and east coasts within 2 hours.

Accommodation:
The Quaich (meaning 'Welcome Cup' in Gaelic) is an exceptional three-bedroom house on the water's edge of Loch Tay. Offering outstanding modern and spacious self-catering accommodation, The Quaich has been finished with contemporary, quality furnishings, to create the feeling of luxury and relaxation. 'Upside down' in design, the living space is upstairs, taking full advantage of the stunning uninterrupted views. Although not fully converted for disabled visitors, a stair lift has been fitted for those who have difficulty with stairs. Treat yourself to a break in The Quaich and you will return again and again!

The property benefits from flat screen TV, free sat recorder, CD player, blue ray DVD player, ipod/MP3 docking station, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and microwave.

Directions:
From the A9 take the exit at Ballinluig and follow the signs for Aberfeldy on the A827. Follow this road to Aberfeldy (approx 10 miles). Continue through the town of Aberfeldy on the A827, following the signs to Kenmore (approx 6 miles).

You will pass the end of Loch Tay and then enter the village. Continue on this road, through the village and over the bridge with the traffic lights. Continue to follow this road (A827) along the north side of Loch Tay for a further 3 miles until you reach Fearnan.

After passing a few cottages you will come to a small junction with a right turn signposted to Fortingall. Go past this turning and you will see Shoreside immediately on the right hand side.

Cost and availability:
The Quaich is rented out throughout the year. Change over day is Friday.
Short breaks available - 3 night weekends (Fri to Mon) or 4 night mid week (Mon to Fri).
