Location:
Galcantray is situated between Inverness and Nairn in the highlands of Scotland. From Inverness, take the A96 towards Aberdeen and Inverness airport. Follow this road for approx 10 miles until you reach the airport roundabout. Take a right at this roundabout towards Croy. This is a single track road so please take care. Stay on this road for about a mile and a half until you reach Croy. You will see 30mph signs as you enter Croy. When you come to the T junction, turn right. You will pass Croy shop on your left and Croy school on your right. Carry straight on and at the next T junction, turn right again. This takes you on to the B9006. This is the old road between Inverness and Nairn and is two way. Just before you get to the bend (about 350 yards) there is a junction on the left. Sign posts read Cantraybridge College, Galcantray. Take this left turning. Again this is a single track road. Follow it for about mile, it starts to go down hill (road becomes really narrow) there is a junction on your right to the college which you should ignore.

Carry on down the hill and at the bottom there is a steep bend to the left over the bridge. Go over the bridge and follow the road round to your left along the river. There is a steep bend to the right and then the road starts going up hill. Follow the road up to the crossroads. Turn right at the crossroads and you will see the sign for Galcantray. Craigellachie Cottage is the first house you come to on the left. Its just after the bend to the left with chevron signs.
