Stirling holiday homes for rent

The cottage sits ¼ mile from the A811 right on the edge of the Loch Lomond National Park. It is an area of outstanding beauty offering visitors a variety of wonderful things to do and see. If you are outdoor enthusiasts there are beautiful walks in the Queen Elizabeth Forest area and around Loch Lomond, or for more challenging pursuits, why not take a hike up Ben Lomond, Ben Ledi or Ben Venue - all a short drive away. If cycling is your thing, either bring your own cycle or hire one locally to explore some of the national cycle paths in the area. For golfers, there are many courses in the area, the nearest being at Balfron, only two miles away. There are also courses at Drymen, Aberfoyle, Callander and of course The Carrick at Loch Lomond.

Pony trekking can be arranged locally, and fishing, if that is your special interest can be arranged at the Lake of Menteith - just a 15 minute drive away. For the very adventurous, why not ‘Go Ape’ for a day in the forest at David Marshall Lodge in Aberfoyle - a fabulous day out but probably best for the young and fit! If you are looking for a sightseeing break, there are some super historical places to visit: Stirling Castle and The Wallace Monument in Stirling, Doune Castle in the village of Doune and Inchmahome Priory on the island at the Lake of Menteith. If you are interested in special birds, there are Red Kites at Ardgaty near the village of Doune, or, if you would prefer a lovely sail on a paddle steamer you have the choice of Loch Katrine or Loch Lomond. For families with children a day at the Drummond Safari Park is a must!

Alternatively, why not just relax at home or in the pretty garden with a book and a glass of wine!
