Cambusbarron is a small village approximately 1.5 miles from Stirling city centre. It is an excellent base close to all historic Stirling has to offer yet within a friendly village setting. A short stroll from Hayford Mills allows stunning views to the Trossachs and Stirling Castle and within 5 minutes walk the local services of the village can be found including shops, post office, village pub and parks. Venture slightly further afield to enjoy country walks and cycling.
The city of Stirling has played a fascinating and important role in Scotland’s rich historical heritage leaving behind many magnificent and well preserved cultural sites. The abundance of historical sites to visit include the Castle, Old Town Jail, Argyle’s Lodging, the Tolbooth, Wallace Monument and the Old Bridge.
At the foot of the Old Town lies the modern city centre offering an extensive range of shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all tastes. Stirling University occupies its own grounds just to the north of the city and is well worth a visit with beautiful walks, lochs and an arts centre and cinema offering a diverse range of film and theatre (great for children too).
Only 25 minutes drive away is Scotland’s first national park (Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park) offering a host of activities amongst stunning scenery and many lochs. Possibilities include: scenic drives, walking (advice and maps can be given), cycling (bike hire available), canoeing, steam boat ride on Loch Katerine, interesting villages and visitor centres, Highland Games throughout the summer…….
Hayford Mills is ideally suited to explore central Scotland whether you enjoy historical architecture, cultural events, family activities, golfing or outdoor pursuits. Accommodation:
Converted in 2001, the apartment offers the elegance of an historic building with high ceilings, large windows and original pillars whilst offering everything expected from a modern apartment. The striking feature of this apartment is the generous proportions of the rooms: there is a large master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. There are also 2 further well proportioned twin bedded rooms and a family bathroom. A fold down bed for extra guests or a cot for little guests can be provided.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and washer/drier.
It is an ideal space for entertaining and families with comfortable seating for 8-10 people.
The large split-level sitting room allows for easy relaxing with a selection of toys, games, books and films on hand for quiet nights in.
Ample parking is available either in an allocated space or in the guest car park. There is a park just across the road with great space for the kids to run off some of their energy.

Leave the M9 at Junction 10 signposted for Stirling, Loch Lomond A84. At the first roundabout follow Stirling, Loch Lomond. Next roundabout follow Loch Lomond/Ring Road. Next roundabout follow Loch Lomond
(you should be passing along the foot of the castle on your left hand side).

Follow the road for a couple of hundred metres over the bridge and turn first left onto a small country road.
You should now be able to see Hayford Mills. Follow the road around the corner and turn second left into Hayford Mills.
