Which property offers the perfect accommodation for your Scottish holiday?

If you are looking for self-catering accommodation for 5 - 9 people before deciding on which area of Scotland to book it's important to consider what you want from your holiday. Our top quality properties in this section offer ideal accommodation for a Scottish holiday for five to nine guests in a three to four bedroomed holiday home. Renting a self-catering cottage is perfect for a family holiday - you can explore the country and then return to your own home from home and relax together yet with separate rooms so everyone can have their own space. There are lots of family activities in all parts of Scotland - outdoor pursuits abound and historic attractions and castles offer child-friendly activities throughout the year, particularly in school holidays and during half terms. A four bedroomed holiday house is ideal if you want to invite other members of your family to join you or want to holiday with another family (sleeping 8 or 9 guests depending on the sleeping arrangements). Many properties provide travel cots and high chairs as well as toys and games for children so you don't have to bring so much paraphernalia with you if you have babies or young children (we highlight this in the entries to help you with your choice). Cottages by the sea with beautiful sandy beaches are always popular with children (and adults!) - sandcastles, ball games, swimming and exploring rock pools make for happy holiday memories. Staying in a cottage on a farm or croft is also popular - many let children collect eggs from hens and, depending on the time of year, feed baby lambs. It's impossible to recommend one property over another but in our availability search you can look for properties offering a discount, hot tubs / swimming pools even single storey houses (often requested for elderly or less mobile guests) to rent with ground floor facilities (bedrooms and maybe a wet room or bathroom / shower room) - we hope you find these filters useful when searching for a special place to stay in Scotland.
