The apartment is a superb base for exploring all the local area has to offer including the world famous Gleneagles Golf Course just 9 miles away. Croftweit has been awarded 5 stars from Visit Scotland (the Scottish Tourist Board) and the self-catering accommodation is ideally placed in Crieff to access a wide range of facilities and activities in central Scotland. Crieff Hydro Hotel is a 600m stroll away from Croftweit. Crieff Hydro's 900 acre estate is set in one of the most breathtakingly beautiful parts of Highland Perthshire, with extensive indoor and outdoor leisure activities on offer, such as horse riding, golf courses (9 and 18 hole), off road driving and quad bikes and a wide variety of watersports at nearby Loch Earn. Crieff Hydro also has an impressive Health and Beauty Salon for those wanting to indulge.

Crieff is small Spa town, 8 miles from the geographical centre of Scotland - it is an ideal location for those wishing to base themselves for a golfing holiday. Gleneagles is only a 9 mile drive away, and Crieff has its own 18 hole challenging course only 600m from the holiday apartment. Auchterarder, Aberfeldy, Dunkeld, Perth, Comrie, Stirling and Callendar are easy to get to by road and are less than 30 minutes drive.

Croftweit is also ideal for those wising to have a Scottish fishing holiday. Fishing is on offer on the doorstep; the River Earn is just down the road. Fishing is also available on various lochs and rivers close by. So whether it is salmon, trout or grayling that you are after, Crieff is well situated in the centre of Perthshire - a fisherman's mecca. For those who wish to pursue outdoor activities there is a great day's walk up Ben Chonzie (931m), the local Munroe. The ascent is an easy walk beside the beautiful Loch Turret followed by a short, steep scramble to the summit of Ben Chonzie. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery down the other side to Comrie, stopping off for some refreshments in the Royal Hotel, and hopping on the bus back to Crieff. Lady Mary’s Walk is a glorious walk around the River Earn, only 400m from Croftweit. There are also a wide choice of family activities, a local whisky trail and something for those historical enthusiasts. Accommodation:
Croftweit retains many of the original features of this historic house in Crieff – stained glass windows, beautiful high ceilings and classical cornices, matched only by the splendid 10 foot high windows. Croftweit is decorated and furnished to an impressively high standard, with Danish oak floors throughout and many original artworks. Enjoy a good night's sleep to remember in the luxurious oak beds, with 2000-sprung mattresses and crisp-white bed linen.

There are 2 double bedrooms, one en-suite, and one further bathroom. The drawing room is spectacular. Breakfast on the decking, leading from the kitchen, in the private garden of Croftweit, is a most pleasurable experience.

Directions to Croftweit:-
Once in Scotland, the main route north is the A/M74. South of Glasgow take the M73 which cuts north across to the A/M80 from Glasgow to Stirling and Perth. That joins the M9/A9 which you remain on until 3 miles north of Dunblane. There, take the A822 signposted to Crieff. From Glasgow take the A/M80 as above.

From Edinburgh take either the M90 to Perth (via the Forth Road Bridge) and then the A85 from Perth to Crieff (signposted Crianlarich) OR the M9 to Stirling and Dunblane. Once in Crieff, coming into town on the Perth Road, turn right onto Strathearn Terrace, just before the Shell Petrol Station. Croftweit is 200m along Strathearn Terrace on the left.

This 5 star Crieff self-catering accommodation is rented out year round.
Change over days are Saturdays with check in time of 4pm and check out time of 10am. Short breaks are available.
