Comments we have received:

We had no idea we would see so many different animals and birds round the cottage. On Sunday we watched a bright red woodpecker for about 20 minutes before we even got out of bed! Then there was the cuckoo that called every day to its friend that was in a wood further away, and the mother deer and her calf in the field right beside the garden and the red squirrels and the grouse and and. Thank you Craig for taking us on the wild life safari. It was brilliant. Your clay pigeon session was brilliant fun too even though we had never done it before, in fact everything was brilliant. Jerry Stoodley

We are foodies so we especially enjoyed the newly renovated, (at vast expense and fab results),Royally opened and much publicised restaurant the Fife Arms in Braemar. Such an AMAZINGLY spectacular drive to get there from Croftend! We also loved having two local distilleries and a salmon smokery from which we purchased rather a lot... Gina and Doug

The red squirrels were FANTASTIC! We have never seen any before, let alone the numbers we saw during our 2 weeks at Croftend. V v cute, and so special to see such a beautiful and rare animal. We especially liked the one with the really blond tail. We advise everyone who comes to Croftend to forget luggage and just bring peanuts. I thought they hibernated in winter: not these guys. Ski-ing was fantastic but really cold so thank heavens for power showers, toasty woodburners ...well, toast and woodburners, in truth, and your game pate/souffle creation. Cheers,Sam Waterford

As architects ourselves we can say that you have been very clever in your restoration of Croftend. We liked all the natural materials, the original panelled ceilings and walls and especially the lighting. Bravo from 2 pre-stressed and now de-stressed guests. Jacky and Alasdair

You can tell that Croftend is in an ancient position. It is so sheltered and a suntrap too, and private which was important to us. We really like the glen: there are an incredible number of different walks right from the door and loads of activities . We recommend the view from the top of Mount Blair....well worth the effort of getting there. The Spencers.
