Wester Brewlands, 90 minutes from Edinburgh, childhood holiday home of President George W Bush, is an elegant and welcoming, large Scottish holiday house, set amongst 120 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds. It is available for a fully, partially or self-catered holiday. This house is ideal for family gatherings or group bookings and is often rented for corporate hospitality events. The 8 bedrooms sleep 14 guests in tremendous comfort.

This imposing house - on the site of a monastic settlement - is the place to find peace and tranquility for your holiday in the Scottish highlands, yet is only an hour and a half from Edinburgh. Close to Balmoral Castle and in the Cairngorm National Park, there is excellent walking, fishing, shooting and several golf courses close by - championship course such as St Andrews and Gleneagles are within easy reach. The hills on this large estate extend to 2,500 feet, with outstanding walking and birdwatching.

Wester Brewlands is beautifully furnished and comes with a resident housekeeper, enabling you to relax and enjoy being looked after. The little extras of fluffy towels, electric blankets, extra long beds and roaring log fires show the level of attention to personal comfort. This is one of the finest large holiday houses in Scotland where you could spend an idyllic time: with so many things to do on the estate many people don't leave at all during their holiday!

Accommodation:
This large Scottish holiday house has 8 bedrooms (3 double, 4 twin, 1 single) and 6 bathrooms - there are 2 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and king-size beds so perfect when 2 families rent this house - you both get a main bedroom! 2 twin bedrooms, with ensuite bathrooms, a double bedroom and a single and another bathroom all on the first floor; and 2 twin bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom on the second floor.

The large drawing room is furnished with beautiful antique furniture, deep sofas and a roaring fire. The library is clad in family tartan, and is an inspirational place to sit by the fire and read. The dining room is wonderful for entertaining, and the large kitchen is very well equipped with a separate large utility room beyond it, housing the laundry facilities. From here, a door leads to the games room and the hot tub changing room. There is also a downstairs WC & cloakroom with spare wellies for guests.

What's included:
All bed linen, towels, electricity and logs for the fires are included. Domestic help for two hours, 6 days per week. Gas is not included and is charged at the metered rate.
Fully fitted kitchen with: gas hob, microwave, electric oven, dishwasher, 2 freezers, fridge and automatic washer/tumble dryer: revolving summerhouse, garden furniture and a barbeque.

Office facilities: telephone and use of fax machine (metered).

The house may be taken for self catering or catered holidays. For fully catered and staffed rates please email us with your requirements.

Cost and availability.
The house is rented out year round. Rental periods are Friday to Friday; arrival 4pm and departure at 10am.
