Glenelg holiday cottage
West Coast of Scotland

A large self catering holiday retreat, idyllically situated on the west highland coast of Scotland, high on a hill overlooking the Isle of Skye, and the village of Glenelg. This spacious and comfortable holiday cottage is ideal for families or friends wanting to explore and enjoy the outdoors; walking, cycling, fishing, canoeing, climbing the high mountains or simply enjoying the many beaches and coves around the coast. From the house you can enjoy an undisturbed view down the Sound of Sleat and you can watch boats all day.

Glenelg is just 20 miles south of the Kyle of Lochalsh, opposite the southern end of Skye and facing the sea towards the western islands of Eigg, Rhum and Muck - this is a truly inspirational and romantic spot with dramatic scenery and the ever-changing sea. Sadaig Bay, just round the corner, is well known for being the home of Gavin Maxwell who wrote 'Ring of Bright Water' from his cottage on the shore: there are many wild otters in hidden holts around Glenelg's coastline.

The cottage owners themselves spend holidays in the house and love it; their welcoming personal touch ensures that your every need is catered for. 'Just come and relax and enjoy; Glenelg has a magic all of its own which you need to experience and I promise you will be back.'
