Meikle Kenny Farmhouse is ideally situated close to the beautiful Angus glens with their stunning scenery. Angus is an ideal destination for those who love outdoor pursuits - from golf to walking in beautiful hills and glens, even surfing and everything in between! Visitors can enjoy fishing in hill lochs, glen rivers and stocked lochs by arrangement and also within easy reach are the classic salmon fishing beats on the Tay. Shooting can be arranged on neighbouring estates. The rolling countryside provide the perfect environment for cycling, riding, hillwalking, rock climbing and abseiling too.

Angus is rich in historical interest with pretty villages and towns to explore. JM Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan, was born in Kirriemuir and you can visit the cottage where he grew up and enjoy the exhibition celebrating his life and works. Nearby is stunning Glamis Castle, home of the late Queen Mother's family, the Bowes Lyons. As well of tours of the castle and gardens there is also a full programme of events throughout the year.

Within one hour's drive of Meikle Kenny Farmhouse further attractions include Pitlochry Festival Theatre, St Andrews and Carnoustie golf towns, the Fair City of Perth and fabulous Royal Deeside. Accommodation:
Meikle Kenny Farmhouse is a beautiful, historic house built over three centuries. The ground floor includes the kitchen/dining room with an open fire and the pretty family sitting room also with an open log fire. Both rooms have stunning views to Strathmore. The parlour dining room with the third open log fire looks to the hills lying west into Perthshire. This is a lovely evening room to enjoy supper after a day out walking. The boot room and utility/drying room allow mucky boots and outdoor coats and hats to be removed within the comfort of the house.

To the north on the ground floor, the Blue Bedroom (with its own external access) allows older family members to have their own corner to enjoy or perhaps just those not fond of climbing stairs!

The first floor rooms include two double ensuite bedrooms with enchanting views of the gardens and beyond. Three twins (1 ensuite and a shower bathroom available) are also situated on this floor; two looking to the west and the long summer sunsets, one enjoying easterly views, with a bright sunny aspect for the morning light.

Finally the attic has two spacious twin rooms with a shower bathroom on the landing. These charming rooms with picture-postcard views overlook rolling Angus farmland.
