We loved our stay at Lady Macbeths rest. It was quiet, had a beautiful view and had all we needed for a fine holiday. It is the cleanest cottage I have ever been to. Two large bedrooms, two toilets, bathroom and kitchen/sittingroom. Well equipped. I recommend it.

Just spent a fantastic week at King Duncans View. We were a party of 6 adults and the property was perfect for us. 3 double or twin bedrooms each with its own en suite. It is an exceptionally spacious house and extremely well equipped. Pippa and her husband were wonderfully welcoming, and do ask for a tour of the stock and the farm. A captivating hour plus, all as a free extra! And for those interested, wifi is excellent too!

Beautiful holiday cottage in a lovely location. This was a great holiday home with everything we could have needed or wanted including very comfortable beds ! The cottage was lovely and warm too with plenty of space for us -2 adults & 2 teenagers. We had a lovely week - thankyou

My brother’s family came to visit us, and we stayed with the whole lot of them in King Duncan’s View. It was the perfect place for us. Easy to get to, beautiful spot, very comfortable, lots of room. Pippa was very kind and helpful.

Back home a week after spending a great time in Macbeth retreat. Great cottage, has got everything you could want. Really comfy bed, large kitchen, great shower and really comfy lounge. Mille and daisy (our 2 spaniels) loved it. A great place to make a base to see local castles. We WILL be back.

We arrived late Friday night in the fog and left a week later in the rain........but in between, we were blessed with fantastic Scottish sunshine from dawn to dusk, albeit with the occasional shower. No chance to use the wood burning stove, but could imagine the warmth it must radiate.
Beautifully appointed cottage (we stayed in King Duncans), sleeps six in king-size, comfortable beds, free wifi and gorgeous surroundings. Situated in the rolling Aberdeenshire countryside, adjacent to a working Aberdeen Angus beef farm, this cottage has everything you could ask for and, importantly for us, allowed dogs at no extra cost, complete with securely fenced garden.
10 miles from Banchory (local shops, restaurants and Tesco), and on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, we really couldn’t find a more perfect place to get away from it all. Plenty of walks in quiet countryside within minutes of setting foot out of the door. Lovely hosts were there if needed, but unobtrusive and let us get on with relaxing. Couldn’t have had a better week. Many thanks Pippa. Highly recommended.
