This exceptionally well appointed and spacious Crieff self-catering holiday accommodation is in an envious setting hidden from sight yet within easy reach of Crieff. Surrounded by rural farmland, the river is close by and a stunning far reaching view to the mountains from the sitting room and patio - often with magical clear skies. There is wildlife, with many birds of prey living in the trees (yellow hammers, sparrow hawks, woodpeckers, owls, buzzards, peregrine falcon, gueese) red squirrels and roe deer can often be seen in the woodland and fields around, a tea garden of 1200 tea bushes has been planted.

Crieff is a perfect location from which to visit central Scotland and all its many tourist attractions: Comrie croft bike trails, Crieff Hydro activity centre, Drummond Castle Gardens, Glenturret Distillery and Innerpeffray Library and Chapel are within 3 miles.

This Scottish holiday cottage has glorious views towards Ben Vorlich. The cottage is in a tremendous location for walkers and golfers, to rent. Numerous Scottish golf courses are also within very easy reach - Comrie, Auchterarder, Muthill, Crieff and Gleneagles are within 15 minutes drive, St Fillans - know as Scotlands prettiest 9 hole course is just 20 minutes away by Loch Earn, where theere is also watersports. As Crieff is close to the geographical centre of Scotland, Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily accessible, as is the west coast of Scotland and the rest of the highlands of Scotland, and the East coast - St Andrews is just over an hours drive. There is a choice of fishing locations - rivers and lochs and centres of culture within easy reach too.

A superb Perthshire self-catering holiday property with two bedrooms - one king size bed, a twin bedded room and a separate bathroom. The cottage is part of the Steading where the owners live - so are on site for assistance or information - you will not find them intrusive. Huge attention to detail mean that everything from cotton sheets, fresh flowers in the sitting room and bedrooms and a welcome pack - the perfect vacation retreat if you want to visit Scotland.

Accommodation:

Open plan sitting/dining room, with impressive vaulted ceiling is gorgeous and has seating for four at the dining table and a cupboard full of games to keep all family members entertained! There are comfortable sofas and chairs for relaxing in the warmth by the wood burning stove, and further sofas and chairs by the patio doors with views towards Ben Chonzie. A chess set and cupboard full of games and large TV for cosy nights in. There is also a desk and chair, for those who need space to tap into work! A large round dining table on a teak root has seating for four guests.

The kitchen area is brilliantly designed, giving easy access to cupboards, fridge freezer, microwave as well as the oven, Nesprosso coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine! Guests often comment on how cleverly it has been arranged.

The patio to the rear of the cottage - leading out from the double doors in the sitting room has a table and chairs for out-side dining on the patio. There is also an enclose garden with large lawn and patio.

The front the cottage has its own entrance and a gravel area for parking two cars at the front, and there is a bike shed too.

Directions:

By Road: Follow the A822 into Crieff, turn left immediately after the bridge and follow the farm track for a mile until it splits into two. From here, follow the track down the hill and you will arrive at the cottage, surrounded by far reaching Perthshire views.

By Rail: Perth railway station is 17 miles away, and we are happy to meet a train when possible. Gleneagles train station is 10 minutes away.

Sorry there is a no-smoking policy in the cottage, but there are seats in the garden. This is a pet friendly cottage with an enclosed garden if you are bringing your dog on holiday too.



There is plenty car parking space at the cottage.

What's included:

All bed, bathroom and kitchen linen are provided. Duvets and covers, towels, and all cleaning materials, toilet paper and bin bags, gas fired central heating and electricity are all included in the rental price.

There is an excellent choice of restaurants locally and Crieff - (less than a mile away) has supermarkets, a great delicatessen, fantastic fish shop, butcher, baker, pubs and many good shops.

There is an all weather tennis court in the grounds and you are welcome to use this by arrangement with the owners.

The property is close to the River Earn - you can buy a permit locally to fish for salmon and brown trout. Fishing is also available on lochs and rivers close by.

For hill walkers there are many good hills to climb nearby and the Drovers Tryst walking festival is centered in Crieff.

Cost and availability
