This pretty, single-storey holiday cottage is situated at the head of Loch Rannoch, on a small elevation above parkland, and has lovely views through pine trees then along the length of the loch (11 miles to the end). This is a gorgeous part of Perthshire - stunning scenery and the view of Schiehallion is one of the finest in Perthshire. Rannoch Lodge itself was formerly the seat of the Menzies family and in the mid 19th century many famous people stayed here (including the great philanthropist Andrew Carnegie). Other later visitors included Cecil Rhodes, Winston Churchill and Elizabeth Taylor.

Loch Rannoch is famous for its wild brown trout and if you are staying here then you can fish from the half a mile of private beach without a permit. There are also two boats for hire and licences for fishing from the boats can be obtained from the Rannoch Lodge manager; who is also on hand to assist you with any other queries you may have.

The estate has 4 holiday cottages, all set well apart from each other in 30 acres of parkland and wood. There is lots of excellent walking in the area, and from the doorstep you can walk on the delightful forest paths and up onto the estate's hill land. There is plenty to see and do in the area, as well as lots of outdoor pursuits. It is an extremely peaceful and relaxing place for a holiday.
