Berrybrae is situated on a hill 3 miles out of Blairgowrie, on the way to Dunkeld. The surrounding Perthshire countryside is stunning and this is a wonderful Scottish country cottage to rent for a holiday. Set in the middle of the country side with great walks around the farmland and surrounding countryside - as well as further afield. There is so much to see and do in the area that you will want to return the following year to explore further! This is a great area for a family holiday or a golf or fishing holiday in Scotland. The bird-watching is amazing - view the ospreys at nearby Loch of the Lowes and there are also many interesting birds to watch from this idyllic Scottish country cottage.

Children will love the Beatrix Potter garden in Birnham and the theatre there often has some excellent shows for children of all ages. Nearby Dunkeld is a mecca for lovers of traditional Scottish music. There is so much to see and do in this part of Perthshire - skiing at Glenshee, pony trekking at Blair Atholl and off road driving at Dunkeld are just some of them. There are wonderful Scottish castles, houses and gardens to visit - nearby Blair Castle is a must!

Accommodation:
This Scottish holiday accommodation has been upgraded in 2005; new kitchen and bathroom, floors and carpets throughout and newly decorated. The kitchen was handmade by a local Perthshire furniture maker - it has all mod cons: gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine with integrated dryer, microwave, and extraction hood. The kitchen opens up into the comfortable living room which has lovely open views to the east and west.

A small hall in an L shape runs off the kitchen and to the left there is a bathroom with bath and shower combination, loo and sink and a large ladder rail radiator. Tiled in white tiles with large mirrors the overall effect is of a larger bathroom than it is. Two bedrooms also run off the hall, the first bedroom is a double with a 5ft bed of Indonesian origin and the second is a twin with fitted wardrobe.

The cottage is warm and inviting, and suitable for a family or four adults. There is also a private garden, patio with a set of garden furniture - ideal for sitting outside and admiring the stunning view. Storage facilities can also be made available if people want to park bicycles or other outdoor equipment.

Directions: By road:
Head through Dunkeld on the old A9 and follow signs to Blairgowrie. 400m past the entrance to the Hilton hotel take the right turn signed Blairgowrie, follow the road for approx 1.5m and then turn to go to the right towards Snaigow and Caputh. Follow this single track road for approx 5 miles until you come to a left turn opposite the gates to Snaigow House, the sign is for Craigie, Clunie. Follow road to crossroads. At crossroads go straight over and follow road to
Craigie.

As you round the Clunie Loch you will come to a right handed junction, turn right to Essendy and Craigie. Follow road past red telephone box on right. One hundred meters after telephone box the road splits follow the road to the left towards Essendy. After a further half mile you will see a field called Copperview on the left with a caravan club sign on the right. The next house on the right is Lochview. At the end of Lochview house turn right onto the track, follow the track up through the field and trees. Once through the trees you will see the house to the right, a long white cottage with bungalow behind it. You have reached Berrybrae.

Rental periods are generally a week - although short breaks are welcome. Checking in time is generally 5pm and checking out is 10am.
