Ardormie Farm Cottage Alyth, Perthshire, Scotland

Situated on a working farm in an elevated position above the Vale of Strathmore, Ardormie Farm Cottage is an ideal base to relax and explore this wonderful area of Scotland. The cottage is light and airy with open views over the surrounding countryside. Recently refurbished to an extremely high standard, it offers quality accommodation for two people with the option of enjoying a wide range of leisure activities. If you are not sure which cottage to book for your honeymoon in Scotland then you will have no need to look further! This is also a very baby-friendly place to stay - a cot and high-chair can be provided and anything else you might need for your baby.

Ardormie Farm Cottage is ideally located for those wishing to take part in a whole range of outdoor activities. Hills and heather are in abundant supply as are rivers and lochs. The beautiful Angus Glens offer ample opportunities for hill walking with other more or less challenging walks available within the area, indeed The Cateran Trail passes right through the farm - this is a 60 mile walk in the heart of Scotland set in gorgeous scenery. The trail loops from Alyth up to the Spittal of Glenshee and back. For the golfer there are several major golf courses within striking distance and both fishing and skiing are on hand depending on the season. Perthshire and Angus offer a wide variety of ancient and historic sites. Easily within reach are the ancient capitals of Scone and Forteviot, the battle site of Killicrankie, Dunkeld Cathedral, Arbroath Abbey, Glamis Castle and many more.

Ardormie is about 5 miles from the small town of Alyth and a further 5 or so miles from Blairgowrie. In the surrounding area there are a whole variety of places to eat out ranging from nationally recognised gourmet hotels to local inns, all within a reasonable driving distance. Dundee, the City of Discovery, is 30 mins drive and Perth 35 mins; both cities offering a whole host of activities and attractions - also excellent retail therapy if required!

This is an idyllic Scottish honeymoon cottage too!

Accommodation:
The cottage has an open plan sitting and dining room. Warm and comfortable with electric central heating it is complete with TV and DVD and also CD and radio. The kitchen is well equipped for those wishing to exercise their culinary skills and includes a microwave oven. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and there is also a washer drier. The bedroom has a large and comfortable double bed with ample space and an amazing view. Outside, the cottage has its own terrace with garden furniture and access into the garden.

Location:
The cottage is 5 miles north of Aylth, going towards Glen Isla. Directions will be provided when you book.

What's included:
All bed linen and towels are included. Electricity is payable by meter reading.

Ardormie Farm Cottage is rented out year round.

Rental periods are generally a week - although short breaks with a minimum minimum 3 nights rental are available. Friday to Friday lets. Checking in time is usually after 4pm and checking out is by 10am.
