Parth Galen Studio is situated in Achnandarach right in the heart of the west coast of Scotland. It is a stone's throw from the Skye bridge, Eilean Donan Castle and within minutes of the beautiful village of Plockton. There are numerous walks from the cottage or if you want to go further afield there is some wonderful countryside to explore. If you are more energetic there is the odd Munro around which you will be unable to resist. There are also numerous watersport activities and mountain biking is becoming increasingly popular. Or, if you fancy something more peaceful, there is some excellent fishing to be found locally. Further afield, you can enjoy the National Trust gardens at Balmacara, visit the Isle of Skye, walk in the Torridon or Kintail mountains, and discover and explore this unspoilt and scenic area of west Scotland.

Plockton, on the shores of Loch Carron, is an idyllic spot. The picturesque village is lined with neatly painted houses and has a delightful harbour where it is possible to find a pleasure boat to take you out on a fishing or seal spotting trip. Palm trees line the main street and the particular quality of the light makes the village a haven for artists and photographers. You can browse in the shops and galleries or simple enjoy a stroll along the bay. Plockton is considered by the locals to be the "Jewel in the Highlands' crown".

Returning in the evening to Parth Galen Studio you can sit in front of the wood burning stove and relax with that favourite bottle of wine or you can try one of the local restaurants many of which specialise in serving some of the fantastic seafood dishes for which the west coast is famous.

Accommodation:
Parth Galen Studio has recently been converted into a comfortable apartment which is traditional on the outside and yet modern on the inside. It is an extension of the main house yet private and secluded. The apartment is a light filled paradise which you are sure to love - it has huge windows allowing the light to flood in and has wonderful panoramic views to Skye and Rassay.

The apartment features a good sized kitchen with all the expected facilities including a dishwasher. The kitchen leads into a comfortable living area with dining table and this whole large family space has a high ceiling. The main family area then leads to the bedrooms and the shower room. There are two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin or super king sized double.

Outside there is a small enclosed garden and patio area which is ideal for enjoying your gin and tonic in the evening!

Directions:
From Kyle of Lochalsh follow the signs to Plockton. Go through the village of Diurnish, turn left over the bridge and then take the next right to Achnandarach. Follow the road about half a mile, take the right turn at the bus stop and Parth Galen is the last bungalow on the left.

What's included:
Electric central heating is included in the price and also a starting supply of logs and coal for the stove is provided.
Bed linen can be provided on request.

Cost and availability.
Parth Galen Studio is available for rent throughout the year. This property can be rented with neighbouring Parth Galen which sleeps up to 8.

Change over day is Saturday with check in at 4pm and check out at 10.30am.

Short breaks are available out with the peak season.

Discounts may be available in the low season.
