Ardoch Cottage is beautifully restored highland cottage (sleeping 8) in an idyllic part of the highlands. Just minutes from the sea, the views are spectacular over Loch Kishorn towards Skye and the Applecross Hills. This is an amazing place to relax and get away from it all - or to have a more active holiday with numerous outdoor pursuits nearby. There are stunning walks on the doorstep (both in the hills and along the coast), and you can walk for miles and not see another person. This is a remote part of Scotland and sparsely populated.

Wester Ross is also a great area for bird-watching with lots of sea birds (particularly wildfowl and waders) on the seashore in front of the cottage - you can see a huge range of birds including oyster catchers, ringed plover, turnstones, eider ducks, mergansters and herons. In the summer, black-throated divers fly above as they nest on the inland hill lochans. Nearby are Lochcarron, Shieldaig, Applecross and Kishorn - lovely villages set in beautiful countryside.

There are also plenty of excellent places to eat in the area and just 10 minutes walk away is the Kishorn Seafood Cafe - perfect if you don't want to drive. Within 40 minutes drive there are many other great restaurants including The Applecross Inn which has won many award for its food.
