Toft Cottage overlooks Elie Bay in this unspoilt East Neuk seaside village. The sheltered bay is famous as a safe haven for families, beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts. This traditional cottage has large bay windows, a window seat and a patio terrace - ideal to enjoy the great views and spectacular sunsets.

Elie is the perfect location for a seaside holiday. As well as watersports, there is a whole host of other outdoor activities on offer: golf, tennis, putting and bowling and of course exploring the magnificent coastline and rich natural heritage. Fife is renowned for its variety of golf courses. There are some really interesting links courses close by and the world famous Championship course at St Andrews is only 10 miles away.

The East Neuk of Fife is home to a vibrant community of artists; some say they are drawn by the exceptional light. Explore the variety of interesting galleries and potteries and you will doubtless return home with some well chosen souvenirs. Fife also boasts a selection of gardens, castles and sites of historic interest; the Fisheries Museum in Anstruther, the 17th and 18th century streets of Crail, the Cathedral, Castle and University buildings of St Andrews and the beautiful gardens of Kellie Castle.

Everything you need is within easy walking distance. The village has a choice of pubs and restaurants from Michelin starred Sangsters, award winning seaside pub The Ship Inn to the time-honoured fish supper. There are good shops with a traditional baker, delicatessen, general grocer's store, fruit and vegetable store, coffee shops, pharmacy and newsagent.

You will very quickly find that you are feeling relaxed and at home in this delightful seaside village. One visit just isn't enough; you'll just have to come back!

Accommodation:
From the front door of Toft Cottage you enter into a hallway. On the left is the kitchen and on the right a twin bedroom. The stairs lead up to the first floor with the master bedroom on the right, the bathroom straight ahead and the sittingroom on the left.

The kitchen is wonderfully cosy, heated by the Rayburn cooker which also heats the radiators and the hot water (with a back up immersion heater as well). The room is full of character with a dresser against one wall and the table and chairs in the centre, the perfect place for cooking and entertaining. The downstairs bedroom has the original beamed ceiling and is bright and spacious with two single beds, a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The sittingroom on the first floor has a large bay window with a window seat and is the perfect place for watching all the action the beach. It is also a great place to see the fabulous sunsets. There is an open fire which is cosy in the winter and there is comfortable furniture to relax in. The TV has Freeview channels and a DVD player. Also on the first floor, the master bedroom is bright with a lovely view, the double bed is tucked into the bay window and the room benefits from fitted wardrobes and a dressing table and chair.

Outside there is a patio terrace across the front of the house and access (across a small road) to the beach. The more adventurous may wish to take an even more direct route to the beach via the ladder!

Change over day is Saturday in the busy season, flexible out with. Arrival time is 4pm and departure by 10am.
