A quaint, traditionally built, stone self-catering holiday cottage close to the market town of Cupar in Fife. St Andrews, famous for its glorious beaches and superb golf courses, is only ten minutes away. Scots Tarvit cottage is on a traditional stockrearing family farm and near to the 16th century Ancient Monument of Scotstarvit Tower. The cottage is also close to National Trust houses and the historic village of Ceres, and is surrounded by glorious countryside.

Expeditions to the fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife are very popular with visitors on vacation in Fife. This is a well maintained holiday property, in an unspoilt rural, yet central, location where much attention has been paid to details. The Scottish Tourist Board have awarded three stars for self-catering holiay accommodation.

Accommodation:
This self-catering holiday accommodation is well appointed with spacious rooms and modern facilities, and is located on a little lane by our traditional stock rearing farm. There is a cosy log fire in the sitting room and a well equipped kitchen with a microwave and washer/dryer. The cottage has central heating.

All of the rooms are at ground level and there is a delightful south facing sheltered enclose garden. There is plenty of private parking next to the cottage and local amenities include sports and leisure centres, quality restaurants and good shops.

Fife is a wonderful centre for outdoor holiday activities: there are many golf courses close by, superb walks and activities such as fishing, horse riding and clay pigeon shooting not far away. The Fife coastline has beautiful beaches and many seaside activities. For culture there are many historical monuments, houses, castles and museums to visit in the local area.

Directions:
Scotstarvit holiday cottage is located off the A916. One and a half miles west of Ceres, and one and a half miles south of Cupar and about 9 miles west of St Andrews.

By Road:
From Cupar, follow the A916 for about 1 mile as far as the National Trust for Scotland's 'Hill of Tarvit Mansion House'. The entrance is denoted by stone walls and large signs - turn right here (take care as you are on a crest of a hill) directly opposite into a road signposted 'Scotstarvit Tower'. You are now on our farm road. Drive past the sign saying 'No Visitors Beyond This Point' and continue towards into the farm.

By Rail:
There is a train station in Cupar with main lines to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

What's included:
All bed, bathroom and kitchen linen are provided. Duvets and covers, towels, and all cleaning materials, toilet paper and bin bags.

What's not included:
Electric central heating and electricity are not included in the rental price - they are metered and payable on departure.

Cost and availability.
The cottage is rented out year round.
Rental periods are generally Saturday-Saturday: arrival 4pm and departure at 10am - unless otherwise arranged, and short breaks are also accommodated.
