This is a gorgeous holiday cottage for 2, situated in the Vale of Strathmore - famous for its raspberries. If you want an escape from the pressures of 21st century living then this is a perfect romantic holiday retreat. The accommodation is charming and the cottage is tastefully decorated and very well equipped, with many special touches. The garden is a perfect place to relax in and is beautiful throughout the year - the cottage owner is a famous garden designer so it is not like normal selfcatering cottage gardens!

Angus is perhaps the last hidden part of Scotland and the villages and people have an easy charm which will remind you of Scotland of the past. Glamis Castle, Edzell Castle and Meigle sculptured stones are nearby, as well as many other fascinating places to visit. There is so much to do in Angus - great skiing at Glenshee, lots of excellent golf courses in Angus and adjoining Perthshire, fabulous fishing, great beaches and superb walking in the local glens close by (there is only limited walking from the cottage as it is on a sporting estate). There are plenty of excellent places to eat nearby - but if you want to eat in the cottage without being bothered to cook then order top quality home-made meals from the owner, to be delivered to your cottage so you can really relax on a selfcatering holiday.

Accommodation:
Littleton of Airlie Farm Cottage is tastefully decorated and very comfortable - an idyllic place to spend a holiday with many extra touches. The bedroom can be made up as twin beds or super-kings. The modern bathroom has an overhead shower and great views over the surrounding countryside. The pretty sitting room is most relaxing with a wood-burning stove - and there is also a separate dining room.

There is internet access and a stunning garden to sit in or dine outside on a warm day - the views are lovely too. Baby sitting, cot and high chair can be provided. This is a very cosy cottage so perfect for an autumn or winter short break or long weekend away from the city. Pets are also welcome and there are lots of places to walk dogs off the lead in the area.

Take the A926 to Alyth & Blairgowrie. About 3 miles from Kirriemuir there is a series of bad bends and where the road straightens out you will see a farmhouse and a farm on your right, with a signpost saying Littleton of Airlie Farm Cottages. Turn to the right and go right across the farmyard where you will see a large blue arrow painted on the far wall. Turn right and you have arrived at your Scottish holiday retreat.

Directions from Blairgowrie:
Take the A926 to Alyth & Kirriemuir. At the five ways roundabout at Alyth take the road to Kirriemuir (A926), through Airlie village. About 1/4 mile further on you will see a signpost on the left saying 'Littleton of Airlie Farm Cottages'. Turn in here to the left.
