The Lodge by the Lake is a beautifully designed new addition to one of Scotland's most prestigious locations. Set within 150 acres of unspoilt landscape on the Broxmouth Park Estate in Dunbar, it is an ideal setting to relax and enjoy Scotland at its best. The historic town of Dunbar is situated on the East Lothian coast and its high street is packed full of unique local businesses providing customers with a great retail experience. There are award winning food and drink establishments and some grand old stone buildings.

Dunbar is home to John Muir Country Park which is a nature reserve named after John Muir, the explorer, naturalist and conservationist, who was born in Dunbar. It supports a wide range of habitats, birds and plants and covers some of the most spectacular East Lothian coastline. Other family fun attractions in Dunbar include East Links Family Park and Foxlake Adventures. East Links Family Park is a farm-based activity park suitable for all ages. A train safari takes you through paddocks of farm animals and there are lots of activities including go karts, trampolines, soft play ball blast area and a tree-level multi activity fortress. Foxlake Adventures, Scotland's first wakeboard cable tow is great fun for beginners and experienced wakeboarders.

Dunbar has its own indoor swimming pool with an incredible wave machine - children just love it! Boat trips can also be arranged from Dunbar harbour. Belhaven is another popular watersports destination and also a great surfing beach where it is possible to hire all the kit through Coast to Coast. Both the Museum of Flight and The Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick are also well worth a visit.

The surrounding area boasts some wonderful beaches, all within easy reach of Broxmouth Park; Belhaven Bay and White Sands and many more in the near vicinity including Yellowcraig, Tyninghame, North Berwick and Pease Bay. East Lothian is also a golfer's paradise offering 22 courses catering for all levels. Muirfield, one of several Championship courses, which is world renowned and host to the British Open is only 20 minutes' drive. The estate also backs onto the Dunbar Golf Club which is an Open qualifying venue and is viewed as one of the best links courses in Scotland.

For those that wish to visit Edinburgh, Scotland's historic capital, the city centre is only a 30 minute car journey from Broxmouth Park and a twenty minute train ride from the local station in Dunbar. Nestled at the edge of the woods, the Lodge by the Lake consists of a living area, breakfast bar with cooking facilities, leading into a contemporary bedroom with full en-suite bathroom. The lodge is tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. French doors open out onto the decking and fill the living area with light.

This exclusive wooden lodge also comes with a brand new hot tub on the decking where you can relax with a bottle of bubbly and watch the swans go idling by, or maybe catch a glimpse of the deer in the distance. Perfect for hot summer evenings but just as enticing to watch a winter's dawn.

Directions:

Broxmouth Park is on the A1087, 1 1/4 miles to the east of Dunbar. Exit the A1 where you see the brown sign East Lothian Tourist Trail, continue 200 metres turning right into the driveway between large curved walls and pillars.
