Logie Country House is a 1670s mansion set on a private Scottish country estate dating from 1492, in the heart of the Aberdeenshire countryside. Easily accessible by train, car or plane, the house is only 15 miles from Aberdeen. The area plays host to numerous golf courses, restaurants, pubs, every type of country pursuit, is only a short drive from the coast and is a great base to see all of the best that Scotland has to offer.
The luxury five bedroom, self contained guest wing of the house has an indoor infinity pool, gym and Jacuzzi. The grounds of the estate have miles of walks and cycle paths and also some great bridleways, all leading from the house. The River Urie, which runs across the front lawn, is renowned for salmon and trout fishing. Also available is a children's play area with climbing frame, swings and a trampoline. There is even a tree house on the island.
For the golfer, there are eight publicly accessible golf courses within ten miles, offering a wide choice. Local whisky distilleries include Glen Garioch, Glendronach and Royal Lochnagar, great for a visit and the all important tasting. The area is rich in history and there are several castles to explore which give an insight into an eventful history. Aberdeen is a 20 minute train ride away and offers visitors all the attractions of a cosmopolitan city.

Accommodation:
Logie Country House is a 17th century mansion house on the banks of the River Urie. The self contained guest wing has 5 double bedrooms (2 en-suite). The living room has a wood burning stove and 42" plasma TV with Sky+HD and DVD. The kitchen has an American fridge freezer, range cooker, dishwasher and all mod cons. The dining room seats 10 and also has a 42" plasma TV with Xbox and Wii.
Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with huge gas BBQ and outdoor furniture. The courtyard is frequented by red squirrels, owls and woodpeckers. There is a well equipped gym in the old game store and an 8 person Jacuzzi on its own separate deck. Across the courtyard, in the main house, there is a 9 metre indoor infinity pool available for guests throughout the day. The house is warm and comfortable and is heated by a new eco solid fuel boiler.
The house has six acres of gardens, including lawns and ancient woodland. There is a private island with a tree house for the kids. The gardens are home to red squirrels, deer, otters, ducks, chickens and badgers and even three Pictish standing stones that date back to the iron age. There is a children's play area next to the stables. Guests are welcome to bring their horses and dogs. There are miles of off-road hacks on the estate. There are canter tracks around fields and will soon be a 60 metre sand paddock and cross country course.

Logie Country House is situated off the A96 one mile past Pitcaple (around 15 miles west of Aberdeen).
What's included:
Central heating and logs for the stove are included in the rental price.
Bed linen, towels are toiletries are provided along with a welcome hamper with bottles of wine, bath robes and slippers.
