Dalbrack, Ballater Aberdeenshire

Dalbrack is a most attractive, traditional Scottish period house that is comfortable and very well equipped to provide for your every need. The house lies on the edge of the conservation area of Ballater, within the Cairngorm National Park. There are superb uninterrupted views from all the principle rooms over Ballater golf course to the mountains of the Balmoral Estate. A few minutes walk takes you into the heart of the village, with lovely shops and excellent restaurants.

Royal Deeside is a beautiful part of Scotland for a holiday. It is an ideal location for both activity breaks and siteseeing tours to the nearby Balmoral and Braemar Castles and the many National Trust properties in Aberdeenshire. Located next to the golf course in Ballater and within 16 miles of 6 other courses it is a perfect location for a golfing holiday. For the cycling enthusiast there are plenty of interesting routes both on and off road suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Local mountain bike hire is available in the village.

The Railway Station in Ballater, used by Queen Victoria and many other Royal visitors to Balmoral, has been fully restored and now incorporates the Tourist Office with an exhibition, an Edwardian restaurant and the original Royal Waiting Room.

 

Accommodation:
This light and spacious holiday house is perfect for a family or friends on holiday, next to the golf course, it enjoys great views. The accommodation is on two floors. Downstairs there is a attractive sun porch with several seats, a large sitting room with comfortable sofas, an oil fired stove and a good selection of books, maps and games.

From the sitting room, double doors lead into the large well equipped kitchen/dining room. The kitchen has with every modern convenience, and there is a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge and a drying area. A double bedroom is located adjacent to the sitting room, both rooms having superb views over the golf course. Next to the utility room is a shower room with basin and WC.

Up stairs there are two brilliantly sunny south facing twin bedrooms also with spectacular views, and a bathroom with shower over bath. On the mezzanine level a small cloakroom. There is a further bedroom with comfortable king size bed and wash hand basin which is available as an extra if required.

To the front of the house there is an attractively planted area with granite paving and seating. To the rear is an enclosed garden with small lawn, shrub borders, a patio area, garden furniture.

Rental periods are generally Sunday-Sunday, arrival 4.00pm and departure at 10am.
Prices are for 6 persons. Extra charge for additional king size bedroom to accommodate 8 people in total.
