Seabank Benderloch, Near Oban, Argyll

Set amidst some of the most outstanding scenery on the west coast of Scotland, Seabank is the ideal location for a self-catering Scottish holiday and the views from the property are just idyllic. There is an excellent variety of outdoor pursuits available locally in the Oban area and superb golf courses too. There are interesting walks by the seashore, forests with marked cycle trails, ancient castles to visit and day trips to the beautiful islands of Mull, Iona and Staffa. The town of Oban is about 10 miles away with a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops and its own whisky distillery. Fort William and Ben Nevis are less than an hour's drive.

This luxury farmhouse is situated on the shore of Loch Creran, surrounded by 130 acres of private grounds, and has a spectacular setting with stunning mountain and sea views. Seabank is near the small village of Benderloch, which has a licensed general store and cafe and restaurant. There are excellent walking and cycling trails from the doorstep or more challenging hill walking and mountaineering available at Glencoe. Within this national scenic area there is a profusion of wildlife (roe deer, badgers and otters are seen regularly) and it is an ideal place for bird watching. Loch Creran is a "Special Area of Conservation" and the Scottish Sealife and Marine Sanctuary, 2 miles away, is great visitor attraction for all the family. The region is renowned for its seafood, and some of Scotland's finest restaurants are within easy travelling distance.

Sandy Tralee Beach is about 1 mile away and in front of Seabank cottage there is a shingle beach which is ideal for launching kayaks, canoes and sail boards. Sea kayaking is popular in the area and for the more adventurous there are the Falls of Lora and the River Orchy for white water kayaking. This area is also a very popular diving area. There are opportunities for most outdoor activities, both on and off the water in the area as well as much to interest the less sporty visitors! This is an idyllic self-catering house by the sea with great accommodation.

  

Accommodation:
Seabank is furnished and equipped to an excellent standard providing luxurious self catering holiday accommodation near Oban. There is a large mature garden with stunning mountain and sea views. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining area with large solid mahogany table seating 10. The sitting-room has large leather sofas and a cosy wood burning stove. There is a bookcase full of tourist information, maps and local walking and cycling information. A good selection of books, games and toys are also provided. There is a double bedroom and WC also on the ground floor. The utility room and front porch offer plenty of space for storing outdoor clothing and boots. On the first floor there are 4 light and spacious bedrooms, as well as two bath/shower rooms with heated towel rails.

Bed linen, towels, gas central heating, wood for wood-burner, electricity and a welcome pack on arrival.

Directions
Seabank self-catering cottage is on the scenic west coast of Scotland. Situated near the village of Benderloch, 9 miles north of Oban and 35 miles south of Fort William making it an ideal touring base. Directions will be provided on booking.

Cost and availability.
This holdiay property is available for renting all year round.

Saturday to Saturday during summer months. Weekend/ Short breaks welcome 3 nights minimum rental. The cottage is available from 4pm on day of arrival to 10am morning of departure.
