Ardkinglas Estate is set in a fantastic location and is a beautiful area to explore. Ardkinglas Apartment is a self contained, 2 bedroomed, ground floor apartment attached to the magnificent Ardkinglas House and benefiting not only from the wonderful setting but also a small private garden. The mansion house stands at the head of Loch Fyne looking out to Inveraray to the south and Glen Fyne to the north. The renowned Ardkinglas Woodland Garden is within walking distance of the apartment and is famous for its champion trees including �the mightiest conifer in Europe�. The garden has something to offer for both garden enthuisasts and for those seeking a peaceful stroll in an idyllic setting; entrance to the garden is free to those staying in the apartment. Five minutes away by car is the famous Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and The Tree Shop with it�s specialist plants, craft shop and caf�. Next door is �Here We Are� a locally run information centre. Nearby is the renowned Fyne Ales brewery which is open to visitors.

Still within easy reach of Ardkinglas is the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Inveraray, Oban, the Inner Hebrides and the undiscovered peninsula of Cowal with its glorious landscape and energetic activities of quad biking and clay pigeon shooting or a ride on the River Rocket.

Accommodation:
Situated in the heart of Ardkinglas Estate, Cairndow, and on the shores of Loch Fyne the apartment is ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday. It has its own garden as well as access to part of the house garden and all of the policy woodlands. The entrance to the apartment is up a short set of steps to its own front door. The apartment has one doubled bedded room and one bedroom with a double and a single bed in it. The sitting room is comfortably furnished and there is an open fire. There is one large bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and has a gas cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. The heating is powered by a ground source heat pump - a very eco-friendly holiday cottage!

What's included:
All bed linen and towels are included in the rental price. The cost of heating and logs and coal for the open fire are also included. Guests staying in the apartment have free entrance into the Woodland Garden.

Directions:
Ardkinglas Estate is located in the village of Cairndow on the shores of Loch Fyne on the A83 between Inveraray and Loch Lomond. The estate is on the edge of the Loch Lomond National Park about 45 minutes from the visitor centre at Balloch and around an hour from Glasgow. On approaching Cairndow village please follow the brown tourist signs to Ardkinglas.

Cost and availability.
This self catering apartment in a historic house is rented out year round. Change over day is usually Saturday with entry from 3pm and departure by 10am. Short breaks are available.
