Barr-Beithe Lower
Loch Awe, Argyll |
|
Set near the shores of Loch Awe, this lovely Argyll self-catering cottage is in an idyllic situation with wide-reaching views down the loch and over the hills. There is so much to do in the area - this is ideal walking country and there are also many hills and mountains to climb nearby. This is great accommodation for exploring Argyll and the west of Scotland - Glencoe, Loch Lomond, Oban, Dunoon, Fort William and the Trossachs are all within easy reach for a day out and the drives will take you through some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery.
Loch Awe offers trout and pike fishing, as well as boat and canoe hire so you can explore the ruined castles on the loch's islands or picnic on secluded beaches. You can also take a cruise on Loch Awe on a steamboat and sail up Loch Etive to the foot of Glencoe - a very memorable trip. There is also a lot of pony trekking and riding nearby and distilleries, castles and gardens to explore. Children will love the Oban Seal and Marine Centre and the Oban Rare Breeds Park - not to mention the fabulous sandy beaches!
